Beams Program draws rebar details
for simple beams and continuous beams ,
For Simple beams:
Number of Spans = 1
For continuous beams:
Number of Spans = 2 and up,
Note: The span variable will
not be activated until entering number of spans
1) Simple
Beam:
The variables
are:
1.1
Name of Beam: Name,
1.2
Number of similar Beams: Number,
1.3
Beams dimensions: Height (H), Width (B),
1.4
Cover layer for Beam reinforcement: Cover,
1.5
Cover layer for side reinforcement: Side CV,
1.6
Level: level of top of the beam,
1.7
starting number of Bar Mark (1st barmark),
1.8
Slab THK: Thickness of Slab carried by the beam,
1.9
Side Dia: Value of side reinforcement bars diameter,
1.10 Side E/F: Number of side
reinforcement bars each side,
1.11 Top Hook: Value of hook for
top reinforcement bars,
1.12 Bottom Hook: Value of hook
for bottom reinforcement bars,
1.13 Second Link: Pick ring or
tie to choose type of the internal reinforcement link ,
And insert
in the Cell Number of bars: the
number of top or bottom bars included in the internal reinforcement link, or the ties number
in case of tie,
1.14 Miscilience:
- Pick Lap @ minimum diameter
when the overlapping value follows the reinforcement minimum diameter ,
- Pick cranked Bars when
reinforcement bars are cranked,
- Pick Side with hook when side
reinforcement bars have hook,
- Pick Lap from table when
overlapping value to be taken from given table ( default value : overlapping =
50*bar diameter),
1.15 Bottom: to define the bottom
reinforcement bar's properties
- pick with hook when
1st & last bottom bars have hook,
- Pick straight when
1st & last bottom bars are straight without hook,
- Pick Ubar when 1st
& last bottom bars have the shape of U ,
1.16 Span Variable:
- Col/Beam cell : choose col if
the support is column, choose Beam if the support is beam,
- Current Span = 1 ( simple beam
),
- SP1 = value of left support
width ( Sp1 = 0 for cantilever beam ),
- LB1 = Length of beam span ( the
length in light from left support to the right support),
- SP2 = Value of right support
width ( Sp2 = 0 for cantilever beam ),
- Top No : Number of top
reinforcement bars,
- Bottom No : Number of Bottom
reinforcement bars,
- Top Support Dia : Diameter of
top reinforcement bars at supports,
- Top Middle Dia : Diameter of
top reinforcement bars at the middle of beam span,
- Tick Share Link Distribution
when there is second spacing for links reinforcement near supports,
- Link Dia : Diameter of links
reinforcement,
- Link Left L/? : insert value of
length percentage near Left supports where share links located ( ex : ?=4 if
percentage is 0.25*L and ?=3 if percentage is 1/3*L where L = span length )
- Link Right L/? : insert value
of length percentage near Right supports where share links located ( ex : ?=4
if percentage is 0.25*L and ?=3 if percentage is 1/3*L where L = span length )
- Link Space1 : Spacing between
links reinforcement in the middle of the span,
- Bottom Dia : Diameter of Bottom
reinforcement bars,
- Link Space : Spacing between
links reinforcement near supports,
- Top Sup Dia Right: Diameter of
top reinforcement bars at right support,
- Extra Bot No : Number of extra
bottom bars reinforcement in second layer,
- Top From Left : This includes
two cells : - in first cell insert the extension distance of top bars from
left support into beam's span ( Double click to calculate automatically
according to the value in second cell,
-
In second cell insert the number that will divided by the span length to get the
value in first cell,
- Top From Right : The extension
distance of top bars from right support into beam's span,
- Grid Left : Name of grid cross
the left support on beams Plan,
- Grid Right: Name of grid cross
the right support on beams Plan,
- Extra Bot Dia : Diameter of
extra bottom bars reinforcement in the second layer,
- Extra Bot L : in first Cell
insert Length of extra bottom bars reinforcement ( Double click to calculate
automatically according to the value in second cell), in second cell insert
percentage of beams length to get extra bottom bars length.
Input File for simple beam :

OutPut File for Simple Beam,

1)
Continuous Beam:
Insert span number
The
variables are: same variables in simple beam in addition to
- Extra Top Dia : Diameter of
extra bottom bars reinforcement in the second layer,
- Extra Top N : Number of extra
top bars reinforcement,
Choose the number of span and
insert the variables.
Notes:
-
By
default, the overlapping number is two per span, and the minimum number is one
per span, to do that you must enter Top From Left
Or Top From Right equal zero, and you cannot insert
zero for both variable.
-
If you dont have a side bars
insert zero for Side Diameter.
