HVAC/Electrical Design Room Color-Fill Plans
Communicate design intent visually with room color-fill plans. This functionality minimizes the need for deciphering spreadsheets and using colored pencils on printed plans.
Update all revisions and alterations to color-fill plans automatically across your model. Create any number of schemes, and maintain better consistency for the duration of your project. 3D modeling for ductwork and piping enables you to create HVAC systems that use color schemes for design airflow, actual airflow, and mechanical zones. Create electrical color schemes for power loads and lighting per area.

Control panels and individual controls or devices can help you connect objects to their appropriate panels.
System Browser
With Autodesk Revit and Revit MEP engineering software, you can gain greater flexibility during design, and focus on the systems that are important to you with the system browser feature. Select to view only the system you are working on. For example, you can view only the electrical systems and hide mechanical and plumbing systems from view. Check to see if elements are fully connected and contributing to system load requirements for more accurate sizing. See the total electrical load, air flow, or pipe flow at any point within a system.
Enhanced MEP Systems
Create and name custom duct and piping system types. Access properties for graphical overrides such as color, line weight, and line patterns to objects within a specific system. Assign objects to systems without needing to connect to system equipment. Annotate system geometry with a system abbreviation. Limit or turn off system calculations when not required.

Designing Piping to Industry Standards with Routing Preferences
With Autodesk Revit and Revit MEP engineering software, you can design and route piping according to industry piping standards to help improve accuracy. Pipe material type and sizes are defined based on industry standards, making it easier to ensure designs meet project requirements.
Design Ducts to ASHRAE Standards with Duct Fitting Database
The latest version (5.00.00) of the ASHRAE duct fitting database has been implemented for Autodesk Revit and Revit MEP engineering software. With the new ASHRAE tables, you have increased access to duct fitting pressure loss data to support your design process.
Calculating Engineering Spaces
Enable and edit room calculation points inside families for air terminals and lighting fixtures to allow for values to be reported as part of the space when conducting calculations.
Calculating Pressure and Flow for Duct and Pipe
Flow and pressure can be calculated separately for each sub-segment of a duct or pipe run when using taps instead of tee fittings. Results can be displayed to ensure that ducts or pipes are properly connected to equipment and do not have open ends.
Pressure Loss Reports for Pipe Systems
Pressure loss reports can be generated for a single duct or pipe system or multiple systems. The reports can be saved as HTML files or as CSV files and are customizable, allowing you to help validate the duct or pipe design.

Revit Server Enhancements
Revit Server enhancements give you more control over managing central Revit models. Local accelerators can now connect to multiple hosts, allowing you to create a distributed Revit Server network. Autodesk® Vault Collaboration AEC workflow has also been improved.
Interoperability Enhancements
Revit offers the ability to import and export drawings to and from Bentley Microstation V7 and V8 file format, as well as improved export to DWF™ and DWG™ formats. This enables more dependable and configurable workflow and deliverables.
Enhanced Industry Foundation Class (IFC) Support
BuildingSMART International Industry Foundation Class (IFC) version 2x3 is now certified for Revit. With the certification, Revit complies with global industry standards, including GSA standards. Open source Revit IFC exporter has been enhanced to support emerging standards. You can propose changes to the IFC export to support regional requirements—this allows you to share information more effectively with third-party applications to support design workflows.
Revit Exchange App Store
The Revit Exchange App Store is a web platform that allows you to easily gain access to add-ins and other content in the Revit platform.
Dimension Enhancements
Revit offers enhancements to dimensioning capabilities. A new diameter dimension tool enables an individual segment in a multi-segment dimension chain to be selected and deleted. In addition, dimension instances can now display the segment values, equality text, or the equality formula string.
Autodesk 360 Integration
Revit makes it easier for Autodesk Subscription customers to gain access to integrated Autodesk 360 features, including rendering and energy analysis. Send your designs to the cloud for faster, higher quality rendering and analysis without disrupting your workflow.
Enhanced Analytical Model
Enhancements to the analytical model allow for direct manipulation of floor and foundation slabs providing greater design flexibility. A new Analytical Link Element has been added to accelerate structural analysis by connecting offset columns or beams.
Improved Detailing with Area and Path Reinforcement
In Autodesk Revit and Revit Structure software, Area and Path Reinforcement have been updated. It is now able to host structural rebar, much like the way that beam systems and trusses host structural framing.
Improved Snapping-To Fillets and Hooks
This feature provides references on a stirrup/tie rebar fillet and hook that provide standard bars an additional reference for rebar joins. This enables the bar to update correctly based on any calculated change, and helps keep designs coordinated and accurate.
Reinforcement with Structural Wire Fabric
This feature allows you to add structural wire fabric to concrete elements. Structural fabric reinforcement can be hosted in structural floors, foundation slabs, and structural walls to support project needs.
Support Creation of Shop Drawing for Building Assemblies
Enhancements have been made to building assemblies, making it easier to define and manage the creation of shop drawings. Assembly Views can now be placed on regular, non-assembly sheets and can host regular views, helping to connect design to detailing.
Autodesk 360 Structural Analysis
Perform static analysis for various buildings from the cloud. Easily calculate different variants of the same model and use analysis results to inform design decisions earlier in the process with Autodesk® 360 structural analysis available on Autodesk Subscription.
